Check with your local animal shelter. Often need this kind of thing. Or, to publish information on freecycle.org. Someone could have, but not afford to buy.
Also check with your provider of local utility companies. In my area who collect and receive a discount in an effort to promote energy efficiency. If you are still working, you can Army Hello, Amvets, St. Vincent de Paul and seek refuge from domestic violence shelter.
